Pacific Bay Motel in Westport, WA
Best on sight hiking trails where you can see all sorts of birds including bald eagles, herons, hawks and coastal songbirds. You may even be lucky enough to see our deer , beaver and elk!

Welcome to Westport, Washington. To the right is a picture of my backyard. From here I can see bald eagles, the Elk River Estuary as it empties into Grays Harbor, deer, beaver, and more! From my cabin at Pacific Bay Motel, I can venture less than one hour in any direction and visit museums and the wild bird refuge. I can see salmon in the rivers in the season. I can charter a boat to fish or just go look for whales. I can take a drive on the endless beaches. And best of all, I can take my cup of coffee and watch wonderful sunrises and sunsets!

Below you will find links to pages about area activities and amusements. Come on out and stay awhile with John, Kathy, and me at the Pacific Bay Motel!

You can see across the mouth of the bay!
From the jetty you can look across the entrance to Grays Harbor and see Ocean Shores on the other side. From a seat on the rocks you can watch fishing boats going in and out of the harbor, marine life passing by and birds. Come storm or sun, there is always a good show!
Willapa Harbor views are among the most expansive and beautiful in the area!
Should you want to take a drive around sunset, you might be able to catch a wonderous view. Just drive south along highway 105 and you will experience a vista of ocean and beaches that will take your breath away. It's well worth the drive. It will also take you by the local Shoulwater tribal casino. .
Charters, kites, art, all sorts of eats, a shop for everyone!
Westport's marina front has shops of every description. There are shops to buy kites, to get a souvenir sweatshirt. You can buy a seascape or lighthouse knickknack. If you are hungry, there are sandwich shops and candy shops for that special treat. There are surfer shops and convenience stores and a Chevron that sells gas about the same price as any other off the highway station. There are services and medical clinics nearby.
John's boats!
Walk along the Marina and see the fishing boats and pleasure cruisers. Depending on the season, one can have the pleasure of buying sea food fresh off the boats from real fishermen!! Watch the antics of the seagulls and listen to the sounds of the tides coming in and going out.
The Beaches are rich in finds such as shells and after the storm glass floats (balls). You can watch surfers ride the big ones, climb an observation tower and watch a storm coming in. You can see the fishing boats return to port or fish off the jetty. You can walk your leashed dog along the paved ocean front walkway. Fly a kite or just enjoy "hangin' " out!
This walk is disabled friendly!
